DO NOT SPEAK A CURSE ON ME!

The lord blessed me with a childhood where the worse “curse word” I ever heard was “sht.” Yes, that is right, just the consonants, no vowel! Even so, my Mom never said this in general conversation nor when she was aware, we children were within earshot. Of course as I grew older and met up with diverse peers, I began hearing my peers use curse words. Sadly, I adopted many myself, mostly the “f” word. One curse phrase I was always disgusted by was using GODs name in any form as an expletive, I praise GOD for that! Anyway, I soon grew out of the need to express myself with curse words and deleted them from my vocabulary. Even so, as I grew older, I noticed that cursing was becoming more socially acceptable by people my mom’s age as well as my generation; this is not something that I could ever understand nor accept. I have asked people to not use those words around my children, or me and even beat up my boyfriend when I was 15 because he used a curse word in my mom’s house. Still people in my arena seem to feel that I am stomping on their right to freely express themselves by asking them not to curse in my presence. Oh well, too bad. I took this issue to my ABBA FATHER. I cried out to HIM asking HIM to help me understand why I was beginning to have physical reactions to the curse words being spoken in my presence. What HE revealed changed my life dramatically!

This is what HE said: When you are having a conversation with someone and that person curses, they are speaking a curse on you and on your life! 

Avoid all perverse talk;
stay away from corrupt speech. Proverbs 4:24 NLT

I decided right then and there to walk away immediately from anyone who begins cussing. It is not that I do not love them, or care about them, I do. I just do not want or need a curse spoken on my life.
